Hey, my name is Breana Pflanz, or you can call me Brea if that's easier to remember! I am a self taught photographer with a passion for creating and discovering the true beauty and essence of life. When I first picked up a camera at age 10, I immediately fell in love with the way I was able to capture a still image in a constantly moving life. I was diagnosed with ADHD a year later. 15 years later and the stillness of life continues to amaze me.

Breana Pflanz started dancing at age 3, but maybe even before she even knew how to walk. Her mom was a hip hop dancer at the time of her and her sister's birth, so movement is in her bones.
Currently, she is producing a modern and creative approach with a unique background in ballet, tap, interpretive, and bachata dance styles. Despite chronic pains due to scoliosis, arthritis, and fibromyalgia; and mental health challenges with Schizoaffective (BPD or SZA BPD), C-PTSD, as well as Aphantasia, Breana Pflanz shows everyday people how to defy the odds one step at a time. She aspires to be an inspiration and advocate for youth and young adults living with chronic and mental illnesses, youth in poverty, and support local animal shelters; as well as an advocate against bullying, racism, hate, and harassment of any kind.
Breana Pflanz's recent entry (as of 02/03/2025) for Ciara's Dance Icon is in support of the Why Not You Foundation sponsored by Colossal.Why Not You Foundation: Russell Wilson and Ciara's Why Not You Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to fighting poverty through education initiatives that empower youth to lead with a why not you attitude.The foundation supports student access to equal education opportunities, children's health, and food security initiatives. Its mission is to equip today's youth with the skills and opportunities to become tomorrow's leaders. Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Dance Icon, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
